John A. Kinney
John A. Kinney created KINNEY LAW, PC, LLO, after 13 years of practicing in various firms in the Omaha area. The firm is located in Rockbrook Village in Omaha. John Kinney attended Boston College, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) in 1989 with a double major in English and Political Science. He attended DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Illinois, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1994. John Kinney has been the principal litigator in jury trials in both federal and state courts. He has represented individual clients in personal injury cases, divorces, contract disputes and commercial law matters.
John Kinney is the former chair of the Family Law Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association. He has published two articles in the Nebraska Lawyer magazine: “A Summary View of Property Division in Nebraska Divorce Cases” (May 2001) and, more recently, “LB654 and the Current State of Joint Custody in Nebraska” (June 2006). He also served as a member of the Child Support Advisory Commission, which issued a report in January 2007 suggesting comprehensive changes to the Nebraska Child Support Guidelines.

Jill M. Mason
Jill M. Mason obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) from Creighton University in 2005 with a double major in English and Political Science. She attended Creighton University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree (cum laude) in 2008; in addition, Jill was the recipient of Dean’s Merit, Lena Lorge and Yale Kroloff Scholarships, and she was a CALI Award Winner for Legal Writing II. Jill was involved in the Women’s Law School Association, Moot Court Board and Phi Delta Phi legal Fraternity, and she is a member of the Robert M. Spire Inns of Court and the Creighton University Young Alumni Board.
Jill Mason joined Kinney Law as a law clerk in December 2007 and is now an associate in the firm.
Marie Huston, Legal Assistant to John Kinney, attended Creighton University for three years while majoring in English. She worked part-time for a large Omaha Law firm from 1985 through 2003 and then as a contract paralegal for a national transportation company. In March 2005, she began work as a legal assistant for attorney John Kinney. In addition to office management of Kinney Law, Marie handles all non-attorney aspects of John Kinney’s practice, with particular emphasis on client communication, courthouse interaction, document production/editing, and caseload management.
Connie Green is a paralegal with over 20 years of experience in litigation support. She has worked in a number of law firms in the Omaha area, and assists all members of the firm with document production, discovery, investigation, and trial preparation.
Dana Rinozzi, Legal Assistant to Jill Mason, began her career with a large law firm in Illinois as a docket clerk, data entry clerk, new file operator and vendor third party billing/accounts receivable clerk. Her duties include caseload management, document processing, administrative support, and initial telephone contact.
